Watches are a really diverse area of design. you can find a watch in any of a wide range of styles, materials, shapes, colours etc. But one thing I’ve not seen before is a paper watch!
The entire body, strap and clasp were all made from a durable white paper that was folded (origami style), into a watch shape. In fact the only non-paper part was the display and watch internals. This product struck a cord because it reminded me of my current design brief, where the majority of the product must be made from one material, specifically plastic. It goes to show how a material can be applied in ways you wouldn’t think of!
